Chronic Diseases Subcommittee

The Chronic Disease Subcommittee promises to be a large and diverse group of Network agencies and thereby aims to make a big impact.  Its membership includes agencies that provide both direct services and outreach/education programming among some of the most vulnerable Pacific Islander and Asian communities.

Our priorities include: HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Stroke, Co-infectious disorders, as well as disease prevention and management.  Our goals include: developing a policy platform that can serve both the breadth and specificity of our priority areas, develop a list of chronic disease education/prevention/treatment/management services in the Los Angeles region, collect community specific materials already in circulation, and identify the policymakers with accountability to agency service areas.

If these priorities or goals align in any way with your own, or if you feel that your agency has something to contribute to this group, please join us in our effort to eliminate chronic health disparities in the Asian and Pacific Islander communities.
