Leading national HIV/AIDS public policy research, advocacy and education organization seeking a Public Policy Associate to work in its Washington DC office. Successful applicant will: Assist in implementing broad range of domestic HIV/AIDS policy objectives before the Congress and the Executive agencies pertaining to HIV/AIDS policy and appropriations, HIV Prevention and CDC, Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, Medicaid and Medicare, the Affordable Care Act, HIV/AIDS Research, substance abuse, housing, and Hepatitis. Work closely with national partner organizations and key stakeholders. Provide issue based analysis and communicate with strong written and verbal communication skills. Required traits: Basic knowledge of the federal legislative and budget process. Basic understanding of Medicaid, Medicare and the Affordable Care Act. Strong interest in advancing responsible HIV/AIDS public policy. Bachelors Degree with at least 2-3 years of post education related professional experience.
