Health care may take back seat for 2012 run

LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) — Shortly after President Barack Obama took office in 2009, health-care reform became one of his top priorities — and repealing it shot up to the top of Republicans’ to-do lists almost as quickly.

But health care and the passage in 2010 of the Affordable Care Act may end up on the back burner for the 2012 campaign as a bigger and more inviting target for GOP hopefuls has surfaced in the form of a troubled economy.
