Rally & March for a Just Budget in SLO
On Friday, April 8th, dozens of constituents, clergy members, community leaders and health and human services advocates will rally and march in downtown San Luis Obispo to call out Senator Sam Blakeslee (R-San Luis Obispo) for his excessive partisanship and urge him to support the Governor’s modest revenue solutions in order to help stem the rise of hunger and homelessness among his own constituents.
After the rally, we’ll be marching from the Courthouse to the SLO City Library where Sen. Blakeslee is scheduled to be speaking inside. Meanwhile, speakers outside will be “bearing witness” for those Californians who will be impacted by these terrible and deadly cuts.
