On behalf of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, I would like to invite you to a community convening in Southern California, the first in a series of regional roundtable discussions across the country. We will introduce the work of the Initiative, hear about current issues facing your communities, and strategize and discuss how federal agencies, through their work with the Initiative, can better address community needs. Regional federal agency officials will be present to participate in the dialogue where possible. Each roundtable will focus on a specific issue: 1) AAPI Immigrants, Workers, and Civil Rights, 2) Healthy AAPI Communities, and 3) AAPI Educational Opportunities and Youth—you are welcome to participate in more than one convening, but please limit attendance to two representatives per organization.
