Every October, we are inundated with information about Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We here at the Breast Cancer Fund think that it is not enough to just be aware about breast cancer. We need to start preventing this disease!
Did you know that no more than 1 in 10 breast cancers are due to a genetic predisposition?
Did you know that there are chemicals linked to cancer in many of the products that are in our homes?
Did you know that California is trying to minimize the use of these chemicals but is starting to cave to the chemical industry’s pressure to do nothing?
The California Green Chemistry Initiative is supposed to minimize or eliminate the use of cancer causing and other toxic chemicals in our every day products but the Schwarzenegger administration is starting to buckle under intense pressure from the chemical industry. The only thing that can make sure this program protects our health is pressure from people like you!
Please join the Breast Cancer Fund for a webinar briefing on October 21 at 4:00 to learn about the connections between the environment and breast cancer and to learn about California’s historic program to address this problem. We will discuss how you can make a difference to ensure that California leads the way in protecting the public from toxic chemicals!
